Meg Omert Seminar

PawsWay

The seminar will be held on Saturday June 6th at 4:30 pm.

The speaker:  Meg Olmert from Baltimore, the renowned author of "Made for Each Other - the biology of the human/animal bond."

Meg provides us all with the proof as to why dogs are important to our survival and to our health.

What Meg has discovered is WHY we are attracted to animals, WHY dogs lower blood pressure, WHY heart attack victims recover quicker when they have a pet .... in other words the scientific reason behind the historic relationship between animals and humans.

It all revolves around the production of Oxytocin.  This is amazing stuff, and Meg is an outstanding speaker.

Walter Reed Military Hospital is using her research in their Canine Therapy unit. They are finding that shattered men, returning from war, psychotic, suicidal, or depressed, turn around in no time when given dogs as part of their therapy.  Of course, war zones escalate testosterone, and oxytocin is the antidote, having a calming affect on testosterone.

The seminar is only $40, and seating is limited.  Meg's work is convincing proof of the benefits and advantages of dog ownership.

Meg's book will be on sale at a discounted price, which can be autographed.  There will be a question and answer session following her seminar.

This seminar is immensely important to those who believe dogs are vital to the health of people and modern society.  Meg Olmert has given us the scientific facts.

SUNDAY, MAY 24th from 9 am to 5 pm and

COME JOIN THE FUN at the 6th Annual HORSE SHOWCASE

- being held 5 minutes East of Edmonton at the Strathcona Olympiette Centre (Fultonvale).

The goal of event organizers was to provide a FREE, FAMILY FOCUSSED event that introduced the general public to the world of horses while promoting responsible horse ownership. There will be over 30 different breeds of horses at the showcase, from mini horses to heavy draft horses, every shape, size, and color.

HORSE SHOWCASE 2009 promises to have something for everyone. Outdoors the horses take centre stage in our main arena, where old favourites like our Parade of Breeds, Jumping 3 Bar Competition and Pony Club Prince Philip Game’s demonstrations will be joined by new presentations including aHeavy Horse Pull Competition, Vaulting, Reining and Liberty Demonstrations. Outdoors is also home to our Breed Alley, where our spectators can get up close and personal and meet many of the breeds represented at our event. And for the kids, our ever popular Stick Horse Making area is back - here kids can make their own horse and then join in our Stick Horse Parade in the main arena.

Indoors we will feature an expanded "full-service" commercial exhibit
area, featuring products for and sold by horse lovers. Also a
number of educational Learning Stations will be situated indoors – where the general public can learn more about horse ownership including horse care and safety.

Please RSVP Michelle Kropp with Hearts & Hooves to reserve a spot and arrange for VIP parking. Please contact us via email and leave a phone number that you can be reached.
